AIRFARE SURCHARGES AND CONDITIONS

 

Surcharges may apply for departures on certain days of the week.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

Packages are subject to availability at the time of the reservation. Passport and visa costs (if applicable), travel insurance and items of a personal nature are not included. Prices are subject to change without prior notice due to airfare increases and currency fluctuations. Rebooking and cancellation fees apply. All prices are per person sharing unless otherwise specified. Standard terms and conditions apply. All discounts and/or special offers have already been included in the package price.

 

Insurance

All passengers are strongly advised to take out travel insurance covering. Personal  accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, baggage loss, loss of funds through cancellation or curtailment. Passengers undertake all activities on itineraries at their own risk and are responsible for their own insurance. Transcend Travel will not be liable if anyone should fail to take adequate insurance cover.

 

Reservations & Payments

A 10%  deposit  (on land packages) is required at the time of confirmation of  your reservation and the balance of the total price is payable 8 weeks prior to departure (unless otherwise specified). We reserve the right to cancel any reservations for which the total fare has not been paid by the due dates, in which event the deposit paid will be forfeited. Reservations will only be considered firm bookings when the deposit had been received by us. Reservations made within the 8 weeks before departures date will require full payment on total due. In the event of last minute bookings or reservation being completed at least 7 days before departure we will be entitled to levy a late booking fee and reserve the right to levy a fee for any extra communication expenses. Full payment is due immediately on confirmation and is non refundable on all late bookings.

In addition to the required deposit for the land portion, for reservations that include air tickets, we are required by the relevant airline to pay & issue for the air tickets within a specified time period from date of reservation. Some airlines require payment on the same day of booking. Should payment not have been received by the stipulated timeframe we will be unable to issue such tickets and the airline will automatically cancel. Please therefore refer to your confirmation or invoice for details regarding the ticketing time limits.

Transcend Travel will accept payment made by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Cash. Cash payments above

R 5 000.00 will carry cash deposit  bank charges that will be borne by the payee.

 

Cancellations

Once a reservation request has been received by us, it becomes liable for cancellation fees in accordance with the following, unless otherwise specified. Passengers who cancel their reservations more than 8 weeks prior to departure will forfeit full deposit paid. All deposits are non refundable/non transferrable. Passengers cancelling within 8 weeks will forfeit 25% of total price, 4 weeks 50% of total price 2weeks 100% of total price.

In accordance to worldwide standard practice we reserve the right to cancel any tour prior to departure, in which event the entire payment will be refunded without further obligation on the part of the company .These conditions will be strictly adhered to and cancellation insurance is therefore strongly recommended.

Furthermore, all bookings are subject to the terms & conditions specified by the supplier (which may vary from the above) of the services which the passenger contracts to in terms of a completed booking form. Transcend Travel acts as the agent and is not liable for any changes, cancellations or insolvencies of its suppliers.

 

Package Prices

All package prices are based on the number of people as stated on the quotation received.

All package prices are based on the airfares, tariffs and rates of exchange, which are applicable at the time when those quotations were provided. All our tour/travel prices are therefore subject to change, without prior notice, due to exchange rate fluctuations, tariffs adjustments and/or accommodation/airfare and airport tax increases, which may become effective up to and including the day that full payment is affected.

 

Not Included in the tour price

Tour prices do not include unless specified, travel insurance, hotel tourism taxes/levies (where applicable) car rental, visa and passport costs, telephone calls, laundry, entertainment arrangements, meals/beverages and other items of a personal nature unless actually specified to the contrary in the itinerary/tour program & relevant documentation.

 

Amendment Fee

An amendment fee of R250 per passenger, per amendment will be charged on international/regional travel and R50 on domestic travel made to a fully confirmed reservation. Amendments made within 6 weeks of departures will attract additional applicable cancellation fees.

 

Special requests

Should you have any special request, these should be conveyed to us in writing at time of booking. Although every effort will be made to comply with any special requests, the company cannot under any circumstances guarantee these requests will be honored whether on the flight or at your final destination.

 

Documentation

It is the personal responsibility of each passenger to ensure that they are in possession of the correct documentation prior to departure. The company shall not accept responsibility or liability for any consequences of any nature whatsoever arising from the passenger failing to ensure that they have complied with the necessary health/passport/visa requirements.

 

Passports, Visas, Vaccinations & Inoculations

The responsibility to obtain proper, current and valid passports, visas, vaccinations, inoculations and the like, where required is that of the passenger alone. The company shall not be responsible or liable for any consequence of any nature arising from the passenger failing to ensure that they have complied with all such requirements. You may verify these with your consultant.

 

Unused services

No refunds will be made for no shows and any unused services.

 

Adults travelling with children under 18 years

All parents arriving, transiting and departing SA are required to produce an unabridged birth certificate for any child under 18 travelling with them. Airlines will be forced to refuse travel to families not in possession of these documents. In the case where only one parent is travelling with the children, consent in the form of an affidavit from the other parent registered is required. Alternatively either a court order granting full parental responsibilities and rights or a death certificate of the other parent must be produced.

 

Responsibility & Liability

Transcend Travel act as a agents only for local and international ground operators and airlines and accordingly accepts no liability whatsoever of any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or any other irregularity howsoever arising. Transcend Travel makes every effort to ensure that all arrangement and services connected with a passenger’s itinerary will be carried out as specified and /or in the most efficient and effective way possible. However we do not have direct control over the provision of services by suppliers and whilst there are in all cases selected with utmost care, we do not accept liability for error and omissions of such suppliers. Please be aware that hotels undergo renovations from time to time. Hotels take all possible steps to limit disruption to their guests. We will not entertain complaints, or requests for refunds, if a hotel in carrying out renovations whilst a guest is resident. If we are specifically advised of renovation work, dates may be provided but it is important to remember that these are subject to change and we are not always notified. We will not therefore be held accountable for complaints concerning renovations that extend beyond date originally specified.
